Side Net Extensions - 2 Sizes. (XL)

Purchased together with my Spornia SPG - 8 net. Even though the SPG -8 net is large enough to catch all my golf shots, I wanted that extra peace of mind in case I hit a stray shot, which is always possible, especially when training to make changes or helping my boys with their golf development. I believe it’s a must purchase and am pleased I bought it. The side nets are the same quality as the main net and attach via Velcro at key positions. It works very well, in my opinion.

As my hitting mat currently sits in stone slabs, I’m unable to tent peg the tips of the side net securely into the ground. However, a sand filled bag sitting on top of the side net tips is enough to secure them and keep them taught.

As a design development idea, Spornia could add an integrated “longer tie up” solution for an alternate securing solution.

Finally, It would be nice to have an internal storage pocket in the main SPG-8 carry bag for these side nets and other accessories. Just a thought.

Side extension nets

Bought these for my garage set up 'just in case'. Found that I don't actually need them. I did put them on to how they fitted and it was fine.

New golf net

Love this net. Had a few in my time and this is by far the best. Only criticism is the ball went through the net(corner)on a few occasions. Not a shank but a slight miss hit so keeping eye on it Bought the 2 side nets so may use spare one to cover the right corner

What is the difference between the SPG-8, SPG-7 and SPG-5?

The only difference between each is the size. The SPG-8 is 8 feet x 8 feet (2.4m x 2.4m), perfect for a simulator set-up. The SPG-7, our most popular net, is 7 feet x 7 feet (2m x 2m) and the SPG-5 is 5 feet x 5 feet, ideal for smaller areas such as an apartment or balcony.

Is it difficult to set up and take down?

No, with Spornia's pop up technology you can set your net up and take it down in seconds. This is one of the main reasons people love the Spornia nets. They’re portable, you don’t need a dedicated area so you can use your net anywhere, anytime!

Will the nets take Driver?

Yes, the nets can take any club including Driver. The nets are designed to take a beating, they will hold up to even the most rigorous of practice sessions. You will have the confidence to hit thousands of balls.

Pro Long Drivers such PGA Pro and Australasian Long Drive Champion Steffan Scutti (403yds) and World Long Drive competitor Matt Nicholls (434yds) use Spornia nets for practice.

What if I shank the ball?

We all have the occasional shanks but we stock side extension nets which increases the size of the hitting area and adds more safety to manage this.

What are the dimensions and weight of the nets?

The Spornia golf practice nets are quite large:

- SPG-7: 2.1m x 2.1m x 2.1m high (7ft) (+ Roof extends 150mm to the height if necessary but it's important to note that the roof extension is flexible, and can bend upwords or downwards) 10kg

- SPG-8: 2.4m x 2.4m x 2.4m. (8ft) (+ Roof extends 200mm to the height if necessary but it's important to note that the roof extension is flexible, and can bend upwords or downwards) 15kg

- SPG-5: 1.6mm x 1.69m x 1.9m high (+ Roof extends 100mm to the height if necessary but it's important to note that the roof extension is flexible, and can bend upwords or downwards) (5ft) 7kg

Net & Mat

Purchased the spg-7 and Mat. The Mat is superb. Good build quality and easy to roll up and store when not in use. Will take a beating and is just like you’d find at the range. The net is also great. Super easy to put up and take down again and doesn’t take up much room in the shed. Only complaint would be that it leans quite a bit to one side, which is a bit annoying. You can fix it by doing some bending but it’s usually a temporary fix. All in all though, great products and they arrived really quickly. Thanks very much!

Excellent support on the purchase by the company. Emails and phones calls were responded to very quickly. Both the net and mat are really good quality. The net is surprisingly robust, it erects easily and after one or two tries we now also put it down easily too! We are really pleased with our purchase.

Spornia SPG-7 Golf Practice Net.

Firstly, the customer service that I have received from Charlie in particular has been excellent. My net was delayed because of circumstances beyond their control but I was kept up-to-date on the progress of the shipping journey.

Given the number of this type of product on the market I did quite a bit of research to determine whether the quality would be suitable for the harsh environment here in Shetland - the Spornia reviews seemed to indicate that it would be suitable - early indications are that it is a quality product.

The instruction video for putting up and in particular taking down are very useful.

Finally - Shetland can be quite windy and as such I found it necessary to peg the net out and use the guy ropes - overall I would thoroughly recommend this product to anyone who is in the market for a practice net.

SPG-7 is a joy to use. Having the convenience to practice whenever I want, definitely improve my golf on course.

This has answered all my prayers for practice from home. Easy to set up and take down. Durability would appear to be much better than other products time will tell. Did experience some delay in receiving the order due to the ongoing issues in the Red Sea and the ship taking alternative longer routes which were outside the control of the company, however the communication on this was first class.
